Parts of site still under construction

Are you having trouble trying to remove ingrained dirt & soiling? Then you need a deep clean
from The Leather Doctors. We will carry out the work in your home, with care and attention to detail. The cost to professionally
clean the avarage suite is between £95.00 - £200.00 + vat. Use the EXPERTS as some general carpet/upholstery cleaners
have made expensive mistakes over the years, as there are many different types of upholstery leather which require diffrent
cleaning products. (contact us)

In many cases, scratches & scuffs can be repaired almost invisibly. We do this by cleaning and sealing
the affected area & then applying a perfectly colour matched finish, also matching the level of shine ie. full gloss,
satin or matt etc. Normally this work can be carried out in your home and as a rough guide the repairs would take between
30 mins - 2 hours. Approx cost would be between £50 - £100.00 + vat (contact us here)
Small Cuts, Tears & Burns
Smaller cuts, tears & burns can usually be repaired to a good standard. We use professional leather
adhesives and fillers, then apply a colour matched finish as detailed above.
Larger Cuts, Tears & Burns
For larger cuts, tears & burns we would normally recommend that the affected panel is replaced.

BEFORE
Here you can see the back of a Jag car seat which has been cleaned and recoloured to remove the dye transfer.

AFTER
Dye transfer is . very common problem which mostly affects very light coloured leathers. It normally
shows as a greyish haze which cannot be removed by normal cleaning. This occurs mainly on the seats, inside arms and lower
parts of the inside back. The common cause of this is denim jeans and many other clothing items. Scatter cushions &
fabric throws can also cause this problem.
Removal of Stains & Marks
Pigmented leathers or protected leathers do not mark or stain easily apart from dye transfer as described
above. We are often called upon to remove a variety of stains, ink/biro marks, curry and hair dye etc.
Restoration to areas of Colour Loss

Colour loss is something that we see quite a lot of. This is more common on the antique finished or two
tone finished leathers where the dark top coat has been affected thus showing the lighter base colour.
